1.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • User Profile (Meta USER_PROFILE):
    We access limited information from your Meta profile, including your display name and avatar, in order to run, support, and maintain our services. This information is used only inside the game for social features such as:

    • Displaying usernames and avatars on leaderboards

    • Identifying players in multiplayer lobbies

    • Enabling friend-based interactions
      No other profile details are collected, and this data is never used for advertising, resale, or profiling outside of the game experience.

  • Account and Contact Information:
    Name, email address, username, and other details you provide when you register or contact us.

  • Payment Information:
    All payment information is handled securely by Meta’s official payment system and not stored or accessed by Villan Studios.

  • User-Generated Content:
    Such as in-game interactions, feedback, or player-created content.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • User ID (Meta USER_ID):
    We collect the Meta USER_ID only when necessary for running, supporting, and maintaining our games and applications, such as user authentication, account linking, restoring purchases, or enabling features that require identification.

    • The USER_ID is not shared with third parties except as required for essential services (e.g., account verification, leaderboard tracking, multiplayer functionality).

    • The USER_ID is not used for advertising, resale, or profiling outside of the game experience.

  • Device and Browser Information (IP address, operating system, device type).

  • Gameplay Data (session activity, in-game purchases, interactions).

  • Log Files, Analytics, and Crash Reports to improve stability, performance, and support.

1.3 Information from Third Parties
If you access our services through platforms like Meta, Steam, or Oculus, we may receive information as permitted by those platforms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use User Data solely for the purpose of running, supporting, and maintaining our games and applications, in order to provide or improve the experience to the end user who requested the Content and from whom the User Data was collected. We do not use User Data for any other purpose, including advertising, resale, or profiling outside of the game experience.

Specifically, this includes:

  • User Authentication & Account Linking
    The Meta USER_ID is used to identify users within our services and ensure seamless account access across devices. It helps restore user progress, track game purchases, and maintain multiplayer interactions.

  • Game Features & Social Interactions
    We use the Meta USER_ID to enable social features, including friend lists, matchmaking, and leaderboards.

  • In-App Purchases (IAP):
    We use Meta’s IAP system exclusively to allow players to purchase optional in-game content (such as cosmetic items or additional features). All payment processing is handled by Meta. Villan Studios does not store or access payment card details — we only receive confirmation of successful purchases in order to deliver the purchased content.

  • Security & Fraud Prevention
    The USER_ID helps detect unauthorized access, prevent cheating, and ensure fair gameplay.

  • Compliance & Legal Requirements
    We may process the USER_ID to comply with platform policies and legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. However, we may share data with:

  • Meta (Oculus, Horizon, Facebook): Only as required for authentication, security, and platform compliance.

  • Service Providers: For hosting, analytics, and customer support (with strict data protection agreements).

  • Legal Authorities: If necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

4. User Controls & Consent Management

You have the right to:

  • Access and Update Data: Modify your account details.

  • Opt-Out of Non-Essential Data Collection: Adjust preferences through in-game settings.

  • Delete Your Data: Request account and data deletion by contacting us at support@villanstudios.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain data only as long as necessary for operational, legal, and security purposes.
If you delete your account, the USER_ID and associated data are removed permanently.
We implement encryption, access controls, and security protocols to protect your information.

6. Children’s Privacy

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Our services are not intended for users under 13 without parental consent.
If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without proper consent, we will take steps to delete it.
